Early in the twenty-first century Boddington on Buffalo was released, which sought to educate as well as entertain, and until then virtually no DVDs had been produced quite like this one. This is its sequel, which the producers have called Boddington on Buffalo 2.
Although the debates are endless, there seems to be a consensus today that the African buffalo is among the most dangerous of all African game. And hunts for buffalo are what this film is all about - twenty-some-odd buffalo hunts, to be more exact as well as two dramatic and inspiring charges from wounded buffalo. Because buffalo hunting has gotten so popular in the last decade, there is more and more discussion in the hunting community as to what constitutes a good buffalo trophy and how old a buffalo must be before it is considered fully mature and huntable. There are short panel discussions with legendary professional hunters such as Harry Selby, Barrie Duckworth, and Ian Nyschens. Several of Africa’s most experienced trackers share their (translated) thoughts and secrets on how they learned and how they practice their almost magical, but sadly, vanishing art.
