| MELVILL & MOON RIFT VALLEY BAG |  Based on one of Harry Moon's original Rift Valley designs, this bag works exceedingly well as a carry on bag in the modern era. Unlike many bags that take the airline guideline down to the last millimetre, this bag won't lead you into an unseemly battle with overhead bins suddenly too small for the task. That said, it takes a surprisingly large volume of kit and is basically strong enough to carry bricks. The bag has a waterproof inter lining, is cotton lined with pockets, and boasts an extra heavy-duty brass zip plus solid brass buckles. The straps go all the way round underneath for good measure. The extra thick rolled leather handles have a reassuringly solid feel when pushing the limits of lift ability.
